Dear Colleagues,

Due to the present situation of COVID-19 in China and throughout the world, we make the following suggestions in connection with the “Euro-Asian Forum on Purinergic Signalling” to be held in Chengdu, China, 6-9 September, 2020.

1. It appears that the epidemic reached its climax in China, while it is erupting with full force in the rest of the world. At this point, however, we continue planning the meeting according to the original schedule. While we plan the meeting intensively, we will make necessary modifications if new developments emerge.


2. The Chinese Government and various experts consider the epidemic situation in China as under control and most cities in China (including Chengdu) are expected to resume normal activities in April or May.


3. In view of these imminent uncertainties, we prolong the deadline of the Symposium Proposals by a full month until April 15.

Please be sure that the protection of the health state of each participant is and will be our primary task.
